Privacy
CityWar collects only the information needed to measure this experiment, operate it safely, and fulfil future digital purchases.
Last updated: 22 August 2026
1. Information we collect
When you browse or interact with CityWar, we may process:
- A random browser session identifier stored locally on your device.
- Page views, city selections, Cheer button clicks, intent confirmations, and share actions.
- Basic technical context such as source, referrer, browser user agent, and timestamps.
- Your email address only if you choose to join the optional notification waitlist.
- Payment and fulfilment references when paid City Cheers become available.
2. How we use information
We use this information to understand demand, compare support for each city, prevent abuse, operate the website, send requested launch notifications, support users, verify future payments, and issue legitimate City Cheers.
3. What we do not require
Normal visitors do not need an account. Email and phone are not required to record product interest. We do not create a supporter or increase a city tally from an interest click.
4. Service providers
CityWar uses infrastructure providers such as Vercel and Supabase. Once payments open, a selected payment provider such as Razorpay, Cashfree, or PayU may process transaction data under its own terms and privacy notice. CityWar will not place secret payment credentials in browser code.
5. Retention and security
We retain records for as long as reasonably needed for analytics, security, support, accounting, and legal obligations. We use access controls and server-side checks designed to prevent public visitors from changing tallies or creating supporter records. No internet system is completely secure.
6. Your choices
You can choose not to join the waitlist and can clear the CityWar browser session identifier through your browser's site-data controls. To request help with your waitlist information, email hello@citywar.in.
7. Changes
We may update this notice as the product and payment flow evolve. The date above shows the latest published version.
